The majority of us dream. But only a very small percentage of us understands that dreams hold much importance and chance our self growth, improvement and self discovery. However, many mystics of both Eastern and Western origins are aware of the fact that dreams hold an abundance of untapped knowledge. Because of its inherently vague nature, dreams as well as the art of interpreting them never entered mainstream sciences. Jungian psychology would be the closest mainstream science that took dreams seriously.

This information is a concise description of the approach to dream interpretation that I use. There are many points/guidelines to take note.

1. The dreams are sometimes symbolic representations of what we are receiving or are about to experience in the near future. I have found that my dreams often convey messages of occurrences that will most likely happen within a month possibly even.

2. Usually the people that we encounter in the dream symbolize various aspects/characteristics of ourselves. For example: a girl may represent a feminine component of oneself even when one is male inside waking hours. Much of our repressed tendencies also usually manifest themselves as characters in dreams likewise.
Have you ever wondered why we sometimes appear and behave so differently in this dreams. Well, my take is the fact dreaming offers an outlet for many people to be ‘somebody else’ that we never had the opportunity to be during our waking hours.

3. Often how you feel and the emotion we felt in the dream reveals and conveys much around the meaning of the symbols.
Intuition and the willingness to examine ourselves with brutal honesty are two extremely important factors for successful analysis.
Below is a list of commonly encountered symbols. For me, we should always take into consideration the point that symbols hold certain semantics and meanings which can be specific to individuals. Thus the interpretations of symbols usually are not generic and therefore there can be no solid rules with regards to dream analysis.

Common dream symbolism

Water- associated with emotion.
Ocean or any large body of water – often represents the depths of the mind. The state of the sea often can be an indication of the emotional state likewise
Eating/digesting- Trying to understand an issue/situation
Walking- connected with learning and assimilating.
Path, road or pavement- symbolizes life or spiritual Path/journey
House- symbolizes our self. Inside the house, the various rooms could represent issues related to self.

Interpretation
Miss A is experiencing and/or learning something that remains unknown to her. It’s something that is rather difficult for her to understand and apply. She is/will be experiencing some feelings good and bad moments. However, if understood, the newfound understanding and knowledge could significantly accelerate her self-growth and discovery. However, for the time being, it is something not within her experience yet (as symbolized by alighting at a strange place instead of the designated station). When she tried contacting her husband or boyfriend (which symbolizes using her mental reasoning), she was still being confused and thus became depressed.

Are you aware of the astounding power of your thoughts? Almost everyone is not cognizant of this amazing power because thoughts are not something tangible. Most people believe that because of the fact that their thoughts occur in the privacy of their own mind, that they have no bearing on the reality of their outer life.

Because of this people do not give their thoughts the full attention that they ought to, and then, of course never bother to really capitalize on them to get what they want in life, not realizing by controlling and focusing their mind they can achieve their dreams.

 

But the mind is an interesting place… It is a bit  like a piece of land. You have to make an active effort to plant and nuture seeds which would bear the fruits that you want. If you don’t you can end up with a lot of experiences that you do not want.

Most people’s minds are full of negative and disempowering thoughts, not because they’ve chosen these thoughts, but because they’ve neglected to choose more empowering ones.

 

And where did these negative thoughts come from?  Your thoughts are a direct result of your past experiences, education and conditioning.

 

And it’s these thoughts which influence your beliefs about how the world works, and those beliefs affect your interactions with the world. These interactions include: your relationships, your efforts to earn money and build wealth, your eating habits, your physical activities, and hundreds of other things which produce the results that make up your lifestyle.

  You should become aware of the great importance of your thoughts. Just imagine what kind of results you could produce in your life if you could begin to choose different thoughts that would build different beliefs about how the world works. Beliefs which would inspire different actions and get different results.

Now, here’s a question to ask yourself:

What kinds of results are you going to continue to get in your life if your thinking never changes? All you have to do is look at the results you’re getting, and there’s your answer.

IF you want to change the experiences of your life, pay attention to your thoughts and if you are not happy with the negative trend, make an effort to change them to a more positive trend.

The movie “The Secret” offered such hope three years ago, and everyone who looked at it was stunned to realize that their experiences were a direct result of what they put out in their thoughts and feelings. The Secret made everyone excited and happy at the thought that they were not victims of circumstances, but they were living their dreams , whether negative or positive.

 

It makes them excited to know that the ability to change their current situation was in the palm of their own hands and that they can control their fates , by changing the way they think and feel.

First though, a story just to illustrate the power of what I am about to reveal unto you…

Would you like to change your life?

 

Have you ever looked at someone who is famous, wealthy or glamorous and thought why can’t my life be like that?

 

What’s the appeal of the successful magazines? Is it because we secretly or openly want to be like those who are featured?

 

Are you totally and completely satisfied with your life?

 

Do you yield to escapism tactics to dull your thoughts and feelings?

 

My purpose is to help you make a start in improving the quality of your life.

 

It may not make you more famous, wealthy or glamorous BUT it can help you achieve something greater than that.

 

You may believe that the glamour and the riches of the world will give you what you truly want but the evidence doesn’t support that belief.

We only want these outward trappings because we believe they will make us happy OR how we think it will make us feel.

What happens when you don’t have them or can’t get them, how does that make you feel?

It’s a no win situation.

Knowing how to influence how you feel on the inside without the external benefits is a very powerful strategy. Being in control of your “states of being” instead of circumstances being in control, is worthy of every effort.

Learn to be proactive rather than reactive.

Learn to be a master of yourself and circumstance, rather than a creature of circumstance and your life will take on new meaning.

I can remember seeing an interview of Sylvester Stallone by I think it was Oprah Winfrey. He had just had a marriage break up and it was being discussed how much it had cost him financially and emotionally. It might have been his second but he was asked the question “If you could have anything you want what would you choose?” Here was a man who had a lot going for him; wealthy, famous, great physique etc. He thought for a moment and said “The thing that would make me the happiest is a happy relationship, a family and a modest small home.”

Think about that for a moment.

 That ideal is within the reach for most of us.

 In fact many are living like that now without wealth, fame and looks.

 Nevertheless it does require effort and sacrifice to achieve it.
