It sometimes feels that we are constantly bombarded by negative news and behavior. Whenever we turn on our TVs we hear stories that make us feel depressed and sad. If you are the type of person that is sensitive to what is going on around you then it is important to learn how to stop negative thinking.
It is not just you that will be suffering; your friends and family will also be affected if you constantly have a negative outlook. This is not an issue that should be controlled through medication, there are well known techniques that can be used to help bring about a happier life through a positive state of mind -
Initially you should try to block out all access to the latest news shows as these are known to be a factor in negative thinking. Also don’t bother reading a newspaper, whether the printed or online varieties.
Perhaps you have become aware that specific locations can trigger negative emotions in your mind. If this happens then these places should be avoided as much as possible. Maybe public transport leads to a depression in your mind, if so then find another way to commute.
Chances are you will know people that have a negative outlook. When you meet them they will depress you even further with their problems and gloomy state of mind. These people should be avoided at all costs, even if they are co workers or friends. Choose to hang around with people that have a rosy outlook on life.
You should never get stressed over events that have not happened. Though it is easy to worry about future situations, it serves no purpose as more often than not these eventualities never arise.
Perhaps the best way to control negative thoughts is through meditation. By learning and practicing such techniques you will be able to control the thoughts entering your mind and block out all negative aspects.
The Many Benefits Of Having A Positive Attitude

I am the type of person who used to have a very negative attitude to most aspects of life. I am not alone in thinking this way as most of the people I meet seem to be constantly moaning about different things and basically feeling sorry for themselves. This article looks at the reasons and benefits of having a more positive outlook on life.
About ten years ago I decided that I needed to have a change of approach. I wanted to be a happy and care-free person and was fed up of always being stressed and worrying about the future. To achieve this I started to read many self-help, confidence type books and websites.
There was a regular message which came from this literature which was to think more positive and to believe in your ability to succeed in whatever you attempt to do.
Well these words are all too easy to write down in a book however they can be very hard to actually implement on a day to day basis. I did give it a go but in reality I had a lack of belief in the whole thing. I would go into a task thinking, I can do this, but it would still end up in failure.
I could not understand what was going wrong so I therefore went back to the books to try to learn more. I have to say that this was very pleasing progress as this was a new topic of knowledge for me to learn which is of much importance and is something that I had missed at the outset. What I had to do was to take a positive out of whatever happens to me, even if this is learning from my failings.
I am not personally involved within this industry; I am in fact working on various projects to do with selling composite doors, offering cheap mobile calls and running stammering help courses.
Something which happened to my family just a number of weeks ago is a perfect example of just how and when one can benefit from thinking positively. My nan has recently passed away, she was eighty-eight. I would go to see her at least four times a month; she lived in sheltered accomodation. She was the most lovely, caring and warm person who always spoke her mind with honesty. Around two months before she died she told me that she was very tired and that she no longer wanted to be on this planet.
I was quite shocked by her admission and asked her what was wrong. She stated that she had nothing to look forward to and that she did not want to reach a point where she could no longer bath herself etc. I was told, in no uncertain terms, which was just typical of my amazing nan, that I should not remain upset about her death for too a long period as life is too short to waste on such trivial things – especially life as a youngster – her words not mine.
This was quite upsetting for me to hear but at least she was being honest of course. Around seven to eight weeks later I received a telephone call from my father. He was rather distraught and stated that my nan, his mother, had died during the night.
Despite what my nan had said I did become quite down and the realisation that I would never see her again was something that hurt big time. I then thought about what she had said and looked up to the sky and gave my nan a smile and a message, I love you.
I thought positive about the whole event and was actually happy for her. I hope that one day we will meet again.

5 Tips On Self-Motivation For Effective Personal Transformation
Growing as a person requires us to adopt healthier habits, drop old ones and change ourselves to be more efficient, effective and healthy individuals. But old habits die hard, and new ones don’t stick so easily. Here are 5 tips on how you can keep yourself motivated while on your journey of personal growth.
1. Break-it-down!
Dreaming is okay… and it’s all right if you want to dream really, really big. But breaking down that huge goal into small and easy-to-achieve increments can actually help you get there in the long run. When you walk a long and unplanned route without rest stops, it is so much easier to deviate or consider giving into those voices in your head.
2. Reward yourself
It does not sound very constructive to celebrate even before you've reached your destination. But all these little steps are actually taking you there! So celebrate, even for the smallest of your victories. Set specific rewards for small and big achievements and make sure not to scrimp on your happiness and glee each time you meet one of them. You’ll find that enjoying these processes along the way boost your morale and determination to reach that final destination.
3. One at a time
Remaining focused is crucial. Most of us try to overhaul our lives in a week… and find ourselves backsliding in mere days! Few major overhauls work… instead, they dilute your attention. So drop any other plans, and focus on the one that matters the most right now. To change, you've got to do what you need to do, and set a reasonable timeline for it. This helps you create new habits effectively and lowers the chances of you regressing.
4. Immerse yourself
Read up on it, listen to audios, watch videos, go for seminars, talk to your friends — immerse yourself in whatever you want to achieve. Not only does it help in keeping you focused for the end goal, it also educates you on your path, your mission and what you need to do to get you there. Most importantly, being able to relate to people with a similar journey provides you with a support system that will help keep you in check and motivate you when times get tough.
5. See it, to believe it.
Most individuals are visual creatures. Seeing it only in our minds, or in words on paper is often much less effective as motivators compared to actually seeing a visual of our goals. Get a cork board and place all your goals on them in picture form, or short reminder words that can help you stay on track. Place this board where you will see it, and see it often – whether it’s in your study, the wall across from your bed or at your workplace. Or better yet, go digital and make this vision board your desktop wallpaper. Personal growth is so much more enjoyable and effective when you can actively envision your goals and their rewards on a daily basis without too much hassle.

It sounds counter-beneficial, rewarding yourself before you've even reached your destination. But all these little steps are actually taking you there! So celebrate, even for the smallest of your victories. Set specific rewards for small and big achievements and make sure not to scrimp on your happiness and glee each time you meet one of them. 3. One at a time
It is crucial to remain focused. Most of us try to overhaul our lives in a week… and find ourselves reverting to old ways in mere days! Major overhauls rarely ever work and often dilute your focus. So drop nonessential plans, and focus on the one that matters the most right now. Do everything you have to do to make that change, and set a reasonable timeline - whether it's 30 days or 60 days. This helps you create new habits effectively and lowers the chances of you reverting to old ways.
4. Immerse yourself
Read up on it, listen to audios, watch videos, go for seminars, talk to your friends — immerse yourself in whatever you want to achieve. 5. See it, to believe it.
Most of us are highly visual. Seeing it only in our minds, or in words on paper is much less effective in actually seeing a physical picture of our goals. Get a cork board and place all your goals on them in picture form, or short reminder words that can help you stay on track. Place this board where you will see it, and see it often – whether it’s in your study, the wall across from your bed or at your workplace. The 5 Secrets of Self-Motivation
I’m a generally motivated person myself, but there are days when I feel less inclined to pursue my goals. What I’ve noticed is that when that one less-motivated-day begins, it tends to drag on a couple of days, sometimes weeks, affecting my personal growth. Here are 5 easy ways to motivate yourself and get back on your personal growth track!
1. Identify your motivators
Is it that swanky new house? That promotion or pay rise you are dying for? Sit down and make a list of everything you want to achieve and don't be afraid to dream big. If you’re unable to come up with that list, don’t worry. Try this out. Sit down, close your eyes, and fully relax your body. Visualize what would make you really happy. It does not have to be material or physical. It could be a smile on your parents’ face or spending more time with your partner. Imagine it, feel it, and write it down.
2. Keep it in sight
The problem with lists is that we often forget them.. and we're just a little too lazy to read through a list every day. So what you can do with that list is to make it easier for you to visualize your motivators. Want to save up for a vacation in Cancun? Get on Google and search for the most beautiful photo of the place you can find and tack it up on a wall or surface you see everyday. Do the same for everything on that list. Whether it’s in the form of a number, a few quick words, or a photo — put it somewhere you can see, and see often. You will find that it's more stimulating than staring at a list of words everyday.
3. Celebrate your achievements
Remember to celebrate each time you achieve a goal. It doesn’t matter if it was a small one, or a big one. Celebrating your achievements regardless of their size and impact leaves you with feel-good, positive feelings that positively reinforce yourself, making it easier for you to continue motivating yourself each time!
4. Mix with the right people
Your mom was right, she just wasn’t specific enough. Choose your friends wisely. Our time is precious. Be selective and spend it with like-minded individuals. If you’re looking for more motivation, hang out with motivated people. It’s infectious and soon, you will find yourself thinking like them too. What's more preferable is if you select friends who are not only internally motivated but extremely positive and happy individuals. Take them out for lunch, have a chat, party with them, invite them over for drinks — you are who you hang out with.
5. Share the love
Lastly, motivate others. You’ll find that sharing motivation is extremely helpful as it can provide you with the inspiration to stay motivated. That, and verbalizing motivation actually works both ways and you'll find that you're re-motivating yourself.
Flex those self-motivation muscles and put these tips to practice. You’ll find that once you get yourself surrounded with motivating factors, it’s more difficult to be derailed and your journey of personal growth becomes smoother!

This video is all about having a positive mindset when running your own home based business. The truth is that many times you’ll come across a lot of negative people that will try to bring you down in your business. Many of these people might be close to you such as friends and family.
I believe the reason why some people do this is because they don’t believe in you. They don’t believe in almost anything. They have to see results before they start believing in something. Unlike those people, I believe in something before seeing results. I have hope, particularly if I have the chance to study the opportunity. Most negative people don’t have any hope and they might try to drive you away from your success.
If you are feeling down, go online and do some research. See other people that have succeed before you and acknowledge that if they can do it, you can also. Stay positive and never let anyone take away your dreams and goals. Remember that the very first moment you start having doubts, you will fail. So don’t fall for that and concentrate on your end results.
