Overcoming days of self-doubt during tough times can be difficult. Even people who are normally known for their optimistic attitudes will have days when they’re feeling down. If you find yourself facing a tough time due to your option trading strategies or a personal relationship there are a number of things you can do to take control.
You can begin by avoiding topics that impact your emotions negatively. With that said, while it’s important to talk about your feelings with a trusted friend or through journaling, dwelling on it can prolong the negative emotions. It’s important to recognize what went wrong, either with your stock trading strategies or your personal life, deal with it and move on.
Learn from your mistake and move on. Remind yourself that this is a short term phase and it will pass. Keep inspiring phrases around you where you can see them. Creating a positive environment for yourself is important because it will help shift your state of mind from the negative to the positive.
Staying active is important. If you feel like you hit a dead-end keep trying until you find a strategy that works for you. What are your options? Do you need additional training to reach the level of work you want to obtain? When you take a proactive approach this will help keep moving you forward. Avoid complaining. This is draining on you and everyone who has to listen to you complaining. If you your options trading strategies aren’t working, seek professional help. See what’s working for others and adapt your strategy.
Watch what you say. Don’t overrun a positive statement by following it with a self-doubting statement. You want to say the things that will motivate you forward. You don’t want to fall behind because of the words you tell yourself.
Choose your words carefully. You can have a single thought and you’d be surprised just how differently it can be expressed. Choosing positive language can completely transform your outlook. If you decide to use a negative tone it will keep you feeling down with a negative attitude.
Keep in mind that your nonverbal communication can impact how you feel just as strongly as your words. This is why frowns or stern facial expressions will change your attitude. Instead of a frown meet your friends, co-workers and family members with a warm smile. Avoid hurtful or sarcastic tones.
The Many Benefits Of Having A Positive Attitude

I am the type of person who used to have a very negative attitude to most aspects of life. I am not alone in thinking this way as most of the people I meet seem to be constantly moaning about different things and basically feeling sorry for themselves. This article looks at the reasons and benefits of having a more positive outlook on life.
About ten years ago I decided that I needed to have a change of approach. I wanted to be a happy and care-free person and was fed up of always being stressed and worrying about the future. To achieve this I started to read many self-help, confidence type books and websites.
There was a regular message which came from this literature which was to think more positive and to believe in your ability to succeed in whatever you attempt to do.
Well these words are all too easy to write down in a book however they can be very hard to actually implement on a day to day basis. I did give it a go but in reality I had a lack of belief in the whole thing. I would go into a task thinking, I can do this, but it would still end up in failure.
I could not understand what was going wrong so I therefore went back to the books to try to learn more. I have to say that this was very pleasing progress as this was a new topic of knowledge for me to learn which is of much importance and is something that I had missed at the outset. What I had to do was to take a positive out of whatever happens to me, even if this is learning from my failings.
I am not personally involved within this industry; I am in fact working on various projects to do with selling composite doors, offering cheap mobile calls and running stammering help courses.
Something which happened to my family just a number of weeks ago is a perfect example of just how and when one can benefit from thinking positively. My nan has recently passed away, she was eighty-eight. I would go to see her at least four times a month; she lived in sheltered accomodation. She was the most lovely, caring and warm person who always spoke her mind with honesty. Around two months before she died she told me that she was very tired and that she no longer wanted to be on this planet.
I was quite shocked by her admission and asked her what was wrong. She stated that she had nothing to look forward to and that she did not want to reach a point where she could no longer bath herself etc. I was told, in no uncertain terms, which was just typical of my amazing nan, that I should not remain upset about her death for too a long period as life is too short to waste on such trivial things – especially life as a youngster – her words not mine.
This was quite upsetting for me to hear but at least she was being honest of course. Around seven to eight weeks later I received a telephone call from my father. He was rather distraught and stated that my nan, his mother, had died during the night.
Despite what my nan had said I did become quite down and the realisation that I would never see her again was something that hurt big time. I then thought about what she had said and looked up to the sky and gave my nan a smile and a message, I love you.
I thought positive about the whole event and was actually happy for her. I hope that one day we will meet again.
