Could anybody give me advice on self-motivation?

I am a year 10 student who started homeschooling some time ago. I only see my tutor twice a week and my dad does not have time to help (I have no mother either).

I am not motivated most days. I don’t have a mental disorder and I’m not lazy when I’m motivated, I just don’t feel motivated. It seems like I can’t stick to a daily schedule, I’m not motivated by fear of bad results or material incentive like food and games. Can anybody give me some tips on becoming motivated?

Set a goal for yourself
Smart Goals
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Results
Timed
Well-defined goals enable people to choose, design and implement their life and work objectives to achieve a mission or life purposes.
If you put your goal on paper you become disciplined to reach that goal. It worked for me.

Sweetie only you can motivate you, so here’s what to do that works for me. Do the thing that you hate to do the most first and then things will get easier as you go. Force yourself to get started and remember the faster you get started the sooner you get done. Some people linger over things longer than it would take them to do it if they would go on. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

    3 motivation strategies :
Motivate yourself by setting goals you want to meet.
Motivate yourself to make your dad proud of you.
Motivate yourself by finding a job to balance your daily schedule ; maybe that will help pull your daily routines together.

I agree with all the previous answers. But I understand where your coming from, I have to look for motivation myself. I am a nursing student and I have to complete chemistry as a pre-req & I am just not getting along with it. But I keep telling myself, there’s 2more weeks in the semester. One thing I decided to do was read half a chapter each day so it doesnt become too overwhelming. So maybe doing a little work each day can help you.

As for the motivation I dont know how to get it, it comes from within. So I guess you could punish yourself inorder to complete your assignments. tell yourself "no tv until schooling is complete", and stick it out.
