i’m writing my college essay and i have to explain a personal quality i am most proud of. i would call it independence, but that’s not exactly the right word.

i basically am explaining the physical and mental abuse i suffered as a child, my decision to leave home at 12 years old and build a new life, and starting working when i was 14 and starting college when i was 15.

something along the lines of self-motivation, self-driven, independence, and individuality?

Self-Driven, committed, ambitious should describe you!
Proud of you!
Best of luck!
