Always? Maybe some people always do, and that’s because, as the famous quote goes, "you can’t handle the truth."

Its healthier to start with, enough negative thoughts can lead to depression, which is a result of negative thinking which in turn causes the hypothalamus to produce chemicals (peptides) that give us the feeling of being down, despair, depression.
Positive thought will cause the hypothalamus to produce chemicals that produce a feeling of well being and happiness.
I’ve simplified it a bit, its the associations with those thoughts that trigger which chemicals are produced giving rise to that emotional state that is associated with a thought.

Positive thought allows us to create our own positive reality and live a healthier life, less prone to strokes, heart attacks and heart disease, reduces aging of the cells.
As well as improve the quality of our relationships.

The real question is why do we view any thoughts as negative thinking? What we identify as negative thinking is basically saying depressed thinking. What’s depression? It’s a scientific reverse reward system…If your happy it’s feels good, if your depressed it feels bad it’s as simple as that…of course we want to turn our thinking into positive thinking, it’s what our reward system ultimately craves.

A change of picture I see, what happened to the wistful look on the attractive women? Negative thinking is just a polar opposite to positive thinking, by their very nature you can’t have one without the other. I think that a better option is not thinking or being in control of your own mind so that we can observe the effects of so called positive and negative thoughts on the body and the world around us. Through meditation and practise having no thoughts but being alert and active and very conscious is very possible, just takes a little pratice.

We don’t actually, that’s the reason of the motto : "Think Big"
Negative thinking is very easy to be fulfilled, but brings us to disorder. Positive thinking it takes some
further action on our part in ordre to be true, and most of people don’t do it and thus this postulate either gets suspended either turns out to be…negative!

The other choice is too horrid, e.g. ’34. Since of two self-consciousnesses opposed to each other, each must strive to assert and prove itself as an absolute for-itself-existence against and for the other. That one enters into a condition of slavery who prefers life to freedom, and thereby shows that he has not the capacity to abstract from his sensuous extant being by his own might for his independence.

    35. This pure negative Freedom, which consists in the abstraction from natural extant being, does not correspond to the definition (comprehension) of Freedom, for this latter is the self-identity, even when involved with others: partly the intuition of itself in another self and partly the freedom (not from the existent, but) in the existent, a freedom which itself has extantness. The one who serves is devoid of selfhood and has another self in place of his own, so that for his master he has resigned and cancelled his individual Ego and now views his essential self in another. The master, on the contrary, looks upon the servant (the other Ego) as cancelled and his own individual will as preserved. (History of Robinson and Friday.) ‘

‘Nothing, if it be thus immediate and equal to itself, is also conversely the same as Being is. The truth of Being and of Nothing is accordingly the unity of the two: and this unity is Becoming.’

I think we don’t seek the positive enough. If you look at all the TV, newspapers and internet stories – so many are scary, alarmist, warning. Because the positive, happy-ever-after stories are "boring", they don’t make front page news.
Negative and positive are two sides of the same coin, like a battery, or a musical minor/major key. They both have their uses, without one we wouldn’t know and appreciate the other.
