How can change my way of thinking positive instead of negative and for it to work?

I tend to mentally put myself down and I don’t mean to but I want to change that for good into something positive. I wish I could get hypnotized.

Sometimes there’s reasons beyond your control (chemical, electrical, metabolic imbalances, etc.) for why it’s hard to change your thoughts. Sometimes it’s old memories/experiences that keep playing over and over.

One thing that can help, is rather than putting pressure on yourself to "think positive" (which can sometimes activate fear centers in the brain even more!) try to think "less negative"…like, "I’m not in a good space to be assessing myself, right now." Or, "Is that statement really true?"

Another thing that can help is Neurofeedback. It’s a non-medicinal way of helping you to feel better and get unstuck from certain cycles of mood and thinking. What state are you in? Michigan has a good place – Mid-Michigan Neurofeedback They’re at www.mmneuro.com

GOOD LUCK to you!

you just have to focus on the good things about you and block out all the bad things that your thinking. in extreme cases it doesnt really work. its very hard to stop being negative but it can be done if you really put your mind to it

When you wake up, walk into the bathroom, look yourself in the mirror as you pass by and say aloud "I love you [your name]."

    Do it every day.

When you’re comfortable with that (it should take 4 days) graduate to the next level: "I love you SO MUCH [your name]!" Do that for 3 days.

Next up is "I freaken love you so damn much, [your name]." Do that for 2 days.

Then the final level "You freaken ROCK, honey/dude! I totally love you totally to bits you awesome [your name]." Do that for 1 day. Really go crazy. Get all monkey business on yourself. Freak right out on yourself. You know you want to.

And, our work here is done.
