Yes it is possible to overdose on them and you CAN die! I have done shrooms before so I am not saying don't do them, I am just giving you the facts. If you have the wrong kind (oh and just because you got them from a dealer doesn't mean they are they right kind, a dealer could give a shit about you and your health they just want money), and they are posionious you could die. But on the brightside here's what to watch for. If after you take them if within a half hour you don't pass out, you will be fine, because one of the symptoms of poisoning is passing out.

The BEST website for shrooms and all drugs is www.erowid.com
References :
go to erowid.com.

it's the best drug website i've found, and trust me...i spend a lot of time researching illegal narcotics.

a shroom trip comes and goes in waves...sometimes you'll roll around on the floor laughing, sometimes you be very introspective, sometimes you'll be anxious, sometimes you'll be overly confident.

make sure you're in a comfortable setting when you trip, and are around people you trust, and make sure you don't have to go anywhere. make sure you've got happy music, trippy movies (fantasia is awesome), and strobe lights. don't trip if you're in a bad mood...that's a guaranteed way to have a bad trip. shrooms (and most other hallucinogens) take the emotions you're feeling and run with em.

before i check out on a trip, i make sure to write in big black letters on a paper IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD! and sign it. that way i can remind myself it's all pretend if the trip starts getting dark.

you can overdose, psylocibin is a mild poison...but we're talking consuming a lot of shroomies. i would stick to less than 3.5 grams (1/8 of an ounce) for your first time.

to intensify your trip, drink orange juice...or anything with a high vitamin c content. to kill a trip, drink milk, or anything with vitamin d.

oh yeah, shrooms taste nasty. mix em up in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or something when you eat em.
References :
you're friendly neighborhood druggist

Have a sober friend with you the whole time. Shrooms last a long time, and you want someone making sure you don't trip balls and do something stupid. Don't go to any strange places, stay at home or at a friends house. Strange places can cause bad trips. They taste like crap too.Orange juice enhances the high (so I've heard.) Don't buy them from someone you don't know, they might either not be real or they might just be shrooms dipped in LSD.
References :
Expect a strong urge to kill yourself - you should have a friend with you just in case something like this goes on.
Someone I know who did them ended up getting arrested! So be careful. You don't wont that screwing up your record. My friend wasn't able to get a job because of it. So be careful, try not to go wandering around in public!
References :
do it. it was a life changing experience.

my only suggestion is eat before you do them or put them on pizza, because when I tripped I had no appetite the entire 6-8 hours.

and yes they will dehydrate you so drink plenty of water too.
References :
done it

There are very few conservative ideas that are floating around and that are generally rejected by lbierals, but I can get behind a few of them.

In particular, tort reform would be useful in reducing healthcare costs (though legal costs and insurance are only a small part of overall healthcare costs).

I don't think a freeze on civil service salaries is a bad idea either (at least for people making over a certain income threshold) - with private sector unemployment so high it is a bit unseemly for civil servants with their greater job security to not take a little bit of the austerity. In California the furlougs aren't great, but they're better than laying off more state workers and while I would prefer to raise taxes that's not very politically feasible.

If there were conservatives who actually believed it, I also support a move towards greater free trade -in particular, ending agricultural subsidies and opening up US markets to goods from the poorest countries in the world (maybe not China but poor countries in the Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa and from countries like India and Indonesia). I don't know that there are a lot of conservatives who actually believe in free trade, but I think it would be good for the rest of the world and for America in the long run.

Some "pseudo" conservative ideas like standardized tests in schools, teacher evaluations, charter schools, etc. aren't so bad either - they're worth some experimentation. While conservatives have little to offer on healthcare I do think they have some ideas worth thinking about in the education field, especially since there is no obvious "liberal" policy that would give us educational outcomes as good as those in many Asian and European countries. A lot of the problem with education in America is because of economic inequality and local funding, but given the reality of these things in the short to medium term some of the conservative ideas might be productive. If Ted Kennedy can get behind No Child Left Behind it's at least worth thinking about, even if some aspects of it have been failures and there is surely a better, more egalitarian alternative.
