how to develop self-motivation?
they say that nothing is ugly in this world, except when you’re lazy fixing yourself..but sometimes i’m just too lazy esp. when i’m only at home..but then sometimes i get jealous on other girls because they’re so pretty, like my cousin…help me build my self-motivation on that!
It’s a matter of self discipline. But only desperate people do desperate things. A comfort zone is just that, it’s a velvet rut, for it’s apparent reasons. If you’re desperate to rise above your current level, then you have to have hit bottom, gotten sick & tired of being sick & tired, recognize the concept of the altitude of your attitude and make a CONSCIOUS decision about why you’re vacating that nowhere town.
Home is a comfort zone, as it should be. Let’s just make sure that we’re not using it as a hideout so that we don’t have to commit to anything. The issue is less about you being lazy than it is about you being on the verge of becoming a recluse so that you don’t have to face or compete with the rest of the world.
The fear has been instillled or installed because, yes, it does get ugly in this world, but even the most brave people you’ve ever heard of have also experienced that same fear. What is the difference between you and them? PERCEPTION!
People see things the way they’ve been ‘conditioned’ to see them. I’m not asking you to believe me, I’m challenging you to prove me wrong. That is how you build self-motivation, grab your passion and run with it. Whatever walls you come up against will cause you to perfect your theory. The walls aren’t there to stop you. They’re there to make you THINK and THINK again.
The design is designed to make you feel challenged and charged to the point that you find stronger and better TRUTH that LIVES inside of you. Life will continue to challenge you until you begin to ask the REALquestions of your SELF. There’s nothing nice about it, no so much that’s sweet, but if you can face the mission, that seems impossible at times, the purpose of all the ugly-ness is to DRIVE you to a better place. As I write this to you, it’s cathartic for me as well.
Life is not a destination; it’s a journey,,,,,,,,,and we get to make choices all along the way. Choose carefully and be wise.
Does bipolar affect your self motivation?
For me, yes. When I’m depressed, I don’t want to get out of bed, let alone do anything, and when I’m hypomanic, I can’t stick at anything.. I’m motivated to begin with, but it doesn’t last.

Stop wasting your time on the internet asking others to tell you how to succeed.
Go and do something. Set a goal and try to reach it. Run in circles, for all of that, but determine to be the best circle-runner in all the world.
It seems trite, but the way to get motivated is to move, the way to get determined is to make determinations.
A strangely wise fellow I knew once told me "Writers write." I think he cribbed it from the old Yogi-ism "Players play", but it is none-the-less true: thinking about doing something is not doing it. No one ever got out of bed by thinking about getting out of bed.
Go. Do. Become.

How do you keep yourself self-motivated to do things you should do and not procrastinate?
Not that I’m a very good example, but here it goes!
A planner really helps out. When you plan ahead, you should also be realistic in your goals by realizing how much time and effort the project is going to take. If you don’t quite understand, it’s helpful to set a clock alarm and see how much you can really do under pressure compared to setting it out in measured goals, this will help in understanding your personal style in dealing with your goals. It’s not a "one size fits all" kind of thing.
Once you are able to plan out and manage your time more effectively, you can divide it into more manageable tasks that show how much progress you are making. If you reach your goal, reward yourself, (don’t take it as an excuse to take a break form the work itself, but chose something more simple, like music or food). If you don’t, restrain yourself from something that gives you a comfortable environment, that way more stress is placed on finishing the goal in a more timely manner. Once you get in the habit, you are more likely to procrastinate less, and achieve your goals in a more effective manner.
This is an important skill to have, it’s also beneficial if you finish early. That way, in case something arises, you are done, and you will have time to go the 110%. You will feel less stressed, and more likely to have time to yourself.

How do you get yourself motivated to stay productive and not waste your day? What keeps you from getting side tracked, and keeps you busy?
well i think it depends on you and what motivates you. There is no one answer. for instance for me this week. I promised myself i would work out 5 days this week (im not going to lie usually its 3 max). Well this morning i was really stiff and making excuses on why i shouldn’t go to pilates. I talk to myself in my head about how much of a "girl" im being and if i cant workout 5 days in a rrow im not as "hard’ as i think i am.
Now, that is me. I dont know what would do it for u. Think of the person u want to be, the person u see yourself as and make yourself live up to it.
