Why Are Women So Undervalued In Most Mainstream Religons?
August 3, 2009 by admin

Look at Moslem, Judeo-Christian teachings, women are either evil, stupid, treacherous or on the other extreme – saintly, submissive and self effacing? Is that why many of these faiths have a hard time with wiccan/pagan women who are self-empowered?
Reagn M – I am not parroting any one else’s ideas, this is based on years of experience, as a woman, and as a wiccan. I am also referring to the biblical/koran traditial teachings – NOT what is in the present time! However, since you brought it up – A young Molsim woman who dared to go out against her teachings and be an independent person in her own right was "honoured killed" by her own relatives.
Any wiccan/pagan women out there who would like to get a point in?
well the bible doesnt say too much at all about women other than implying that they should be submissive and supportive. the submissive thing is what gets to me. wiccan women are greatly empowered and very highly regarded in their religion. oddly enough wicca and womens rights were two highly controversial topics in past decades. makes you wonder??an di am a woman so i can say this.. how many actively religious ,SINGLE, successful wome are out there honestly? these religions are male based. adn hes not saying they treat the women badly or abusively, just that they should be looked at in such a way which was true for a long while….
What do you think of the One Laptop per Child educational program?

Galactic Emperor,
Humanly, It’s a great idea, but I just want you to think about Palestinian kids that are afraid to go to their schools ! What an Apartheid era.
Kids swimming in happiness and money, ad kids fighting to live.
Ya, it’s Hamas fault…lol
Would democrats lose power if….?

The mentality of the masses changed to become self sufficient? If people as a society had a change of values to be driven for success, thus reducing poverty drastically by self reliance, would the democrat party lose power? Do they need American poverty to thrive?
It seems to me that they do. It almost seems that the more they bring out of poverty, which they haven’t been successful at, the more they hurt themselves.
It seems that so long as people need government, the democrats have power. If people become self-empowered then democrats become largely irrelevant.
Kevin ART – red herring argument. I’m referring to the 99% of the population that can be self reliant. That is success. They don’t have to be a scientist to be successful. A construction worker, a waitress or any other job that makes them self reliant.
Grigg – you are wrong. In my circle of friends, the ones who came from more well to do parents aren’t doing as well as myself or my buddies who came from nothing. I’m not especially talented or intelligent, but I work very hard to be self reliant. My less successful friends don’t have ambition. They’re plenty smart, just lack drive.
Jon – yes silly you. Or foolish, ignorant you. Every single Obama supporter I knew, with the exception of one guy, voted for a minority as a good move for black people and because Obama seemed smart and delivered good speeches. But they couldn’t tell you his policies or the theory behind them. It was intelligent people speaking. It was the same people who waste away their lives on Oprah and American Idol that voted in Obama.
lw – I can’t even address your argument it’s so incoherent.
Barometer – you are completely wrong. The conservatives I know, including myself are against war unless absolutely necessary. And Iraq was not necessary. I believe in limited government as did our founding fathers. I don’t like big centralized power, short of for national defense purposes (defensive not offensive military). I’m for limited government, low taxes for all, strong national defense, free markets, low government spending. These are conservative issues. And Bush was not a conservative. He may have been one at some point in his career, but he was a centrist president. The socialist bailout, his out of control spending, amnesty on immigration and other issues should prove that.
as long as people think the government will solve their problems and give them something for nothing then the Democrat party will continue to exist
Rockefeller and the Internet

From within…….
The problem here is that the “good” senator J.D Rockefeller is using allegedly plausible concerns of cyber infiltration to areas governing the US’s “national security” systems and is trying to validate the discussion of the matter to further or investigate applying controls that more than likely would be used to encompass those who would criticize the current administration. Again slide of hand surreptitious tactics deployed to silence the rising wave of the Independent media of which they have no control, As a father and responsible citizen of the world I find it deeply disturbing when I piece together the agenda’s and policies of the likes of the Rockerfeller & Banking Cartel families of the Rothschild’s and such, all are documented proponents of eugenics modalities such as surreptitious “soft kill” tactics of population control, contriving 3rd world conflict, openly degrading the nutritional value of food and contaminating water supplies as well as the environment blatantly open at times they have announced such Ideals with conviction. Historically their ociations with Banks, Fossil fuels Industries, and all governing world economy exploits have ensured their oligarchy status that even elevates them above the aristocracy, all the while they spout rhetoric about carbon Taxes capping and other pseudo science nonsense at times creating mass panic and “removing” those who would oppose them. Viable highly efficient technologies are black shelved and suppressed as so to sustain their control over things that ultimately would self empower the people of this world away from their monopolising archaic hold on all. Change is coming, their heredity is being challenged as we the people become aware of their duplicitous self serving parasitic ways that exploit us all as a resource, just look at the world you’d be giving your children and then think about it if you believe those who’d say ” there’s nothing that you can do is there ?” learn all you can and share this information.

Do Christians hate Satan because it is a symbol of individualism?
July 26, 2009 by admin
As the essence of Christianity is based upon the sublimation of the individual human spirit into becoming "like-Christ" which by necessity implies rejecting any kind of individuality ( the condemnation of homosexuality is a good example of this), is Satan feared because it is actually a symbol of all that is individual and self-empowered?
Does Satan strike horror into the hearts of the conformists because it is a symbol of defiant individualism?
Happy = Is "evil" not the eye of the beholder? It could be argued that evil actions are individualistic actions.
Chalk = "They think of themselves and only themselves. Do you think that kind of individuality is a good thing?"
Yes. Yes I do.
MicahArt = You give Christianity a good name. Now we just have to get the millions of others along your lines of thinking.
satan has always stood for human qualities.
lust, greed, pride, and more…..those are all human traits. they are inherent in all of us. satan is a caricature of a christians fear of themselves.
from the beginning though he always had thier best interests at heart.
god wanted to keep them ignorant in the garden, satan freed thier minds.

Having space to yourself takes courage. It is not following style but following your inner space. It’s very healthy to just be yourself. I got a big nod from it. Taking off from that lies cheat and pretend from life’s partner i come to think of on how to define the ways to design space of my own.Everything starts with independence. You cannot define yourself if you are a parasite.Invest in myself by looking beyond myself.Self empowered.I read up…stimulating mind is Sexy.I learned to know Solitude..journey into myself. And, when i go to battle, i know also when to retreat. When the going gets so rough, and i’ve had it with being tough,i just run for cover.I do a momentary retreat and seek refuge in prayers.
I now learn to live without a man, and im ready to live with one. I am Ellen thepianist12@yahoo.com.ph
Ok not sure what that’s all about but thanks for the points.

-> My Question: <-
Hi! I love the idea of this organization and I would LOVE to spend $200.00 and both get a laptop and give a laptop to someone in the 2nd and 3rd world but I’m wondering if it would be a computer that I could use or if I should give it to someone I know for x-mas.
I’m VERY confused about what the specs are for this system and was wondering if you could help me figure our if the laptop could, say, run QuickBooks and Microsoft Word or if it is just a “Look Stuff Up” sort of “Toy” as apposed to something that I could work with.
I’m NOT complaining… I’m just trying to figure out what it is capable of BEFORE I send the money because I want to know if it would be for ME or if I would give it to a friend or a friend’s child.
If I can’t use the one they will send me, I will donate $100.00 to them just because I am so thrilled with their goals. (And since the new version comes out in 2010, I will donate NOW and buy then perhaps…)
I saw about this organization back a year or two ago on 60 min’s… So I’m happy to see that they are still going strong!!
Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
