When Kingsbury was 27, she published her first book and has written 40 novels during those times. Her writings were mostly featured as articles in journals but what makes her books really different from any other books?

She was left with no choice but to change her travel plans in the end. Instead of going to the destination of her choice, she ended up heading to the only one with seats that were available. Being the plucky individual that she was, it did not deter her in the slightest that it happened to be the capital city of a minuscule country that neither she, nor her travel agent, had ever head of before. Put in a nutshell, that is how she wound up in the middle of a country where nobody, not one soul, could speak her language. This resulted in something of a heart-stopping moment when the customs agent examining her bags suddenly gave her the strangest of looks. He gestured towards her Swarovski earrings and began jabbering excitedly in his own language. At first she thought that she must have violated a local regulation by wearing them, but through some rudimentary sign language and crudely drawn pictures depicting stick-figures carrying guns being chased by other stick figures in police uniforms, the agent was able to communicate that he was only warning her about local thieves.

As she exited the airport, she realized that she had made a terrible mistake. The climate was not warm and cheerful at all. A blast of wind that felt like it had come directly off the polar ice cap blew up her skirts and sent them flying. Not only was the wind cold, it was rude! Firmly gathering her skirts around her, she flagged what she hoped was a taxi.

Her luck appeared to be changing at last. Her driver not only appeared to have been looking elsewhere when the wind behaved so rudely, he also recognized the name of her hotel from the printed out confirmation that she waved under his nose. After twenty heart-stopping minutes spent racing along a highway on which every driver seemed to be testing their Formula One racing skills, she arrived at her hotel a bit shaken-up, but none the worse for wear.

Undaunted, she arose the next morning and set out for the city-center. What awaited her there was one of those rare, life-changing moments, for everywhere she turned, in every shop window, were the most ornately designed, absolutely exquisite men wedding bands. When she whipped out her pocket calculator and did the math, she discovered that she could easily resell them at a five hundred percent profit margin back home.

The city located out in the middle of nowhere gave birth to a completely new business that day. The locals still don’t speak a word of any language but their own. Our heroine, who likes to keep her source a secret, considers that a plus. In no time at all, she managed to learn their language.

I decided that I would only try again to stop smoking, when my life was in what I classed as a good period. If I am stressed out for example at work where I sell French doors then I always seem to yearn for a fag. When I am doing well and I am happy, I have far less of a need to smoke, therefore this will be the type of period, when I will start yet again to quit the fags.

I am not sure why I did this but whenever I have tried to quit smoking in the past I have let everyone know what I am attempting to do – family, friends and work colleagues etc. This is a big mistake as to quit it is important that you stop thinking about cigarettes completely. Having various people asking as to “how you are getting on” is actually not good for somebody like me as I just want to forget that cigarettes even exist and by them asking me reminds me that they do – I fully understand why they are asking of course and that they are only concerned and interested in my well being. By going about it in a quiet way, maybe only telling your closest family members and friends, makes it a whole lot easier.

Another reason why I had failed in my previous attempts to quit smoking, was possibly due to spending too much time with other people who smoked. I decided that in this new quest, I would attempt to stay away from other smokers as much as I could. This was not that easy as quite a lot of my friends are smokers. I had to be determined and make sacrifices. What I am attempting to do could have a very positive affect on my life, I therefore have to have the courage to do everything in my power that I think will help to lead to a successful conclusion.
