That sounds nice, does not it?

Eradicate Those Inner Demons That Are Ruining Your Life

I have succeeded at last. At what you may be asking? Well I have been fighting a war with the voices in my head or my demons as I call them. These are the voices which made me doubt myself; voices which stopped me from becoming a success; voices that were lowering my self-esteem and voices which were basically ruining my life. I had this voice in my head for many years and I was not really aware of the hold it had over me or its true power until the age of about twenty-one. When thinking about it in a bit more depth I suppose that I actually saw these voices as a kind of a friend rather than an enemy. I am very much aware of just how crazy this sounds now.

I was unfortunate to develop a stutter when I was a young child and this speech impediment would continue to haunt my life until I finally overcame it when I was aged twenty-two. The how to stop stuttering had a detremental effect on my overall confidence and was the cause of a great deal of distress. I was more than keen to find a solution to this stuttering problem and of techniques that could enable me to gain self-confidence. This is when I started to really learn about the damaging affect that these demons can have on one’s life.

I was advised by these most annoying of voices to leave school at the age of 16 and this is something which I duly did. They advised me not to put in for a promotion at work as they stated that I would not gain the higher position – I listened to them and therefore did not even apply for the position. Why was I listening to this demonic voice? This was no doubt due to the fact that I had no other options open to me – or at least that is what I thought was the case.

I eventually realised that I needed to basically ignore these voices and that in fact I should do the opposite of what they had advised. This was far from easy in reality and we fought many battles along the way. In the end I came out of the whole war as the victorious winner. I am now in a much better state of mind to have a positive career which at the moment is within the business cost cutting and front doors sectors.

The Best Way To Cope With Stress

I have always struggled to live a stress-free life. I worry about almost every aspect of life and living this way has caused me a lot of problems including various bouts of ill health from time to time. I needed to find a way of coping with and reducing the amount of stress in my life and in this article I write about how I have managed to achieve this.

So what do I stress about? Well I suppose it is anything and everything. Women and my relationships with them; my financial position – having a lack of money and worrying about how I am going to be able to pay the bills etc. I also have anxiety over my career and my personal friendships. For whatever reason I also used to worry about what other people thought of me.

I am the kind of person who is classed as a thinker. I will be the first to admit that I over-think at times; some people would go as far as to call me a stress-head – others, no doubt, see me as some sort of freak. This thinking is very much in a negative manner and is a cycle which I have found hard to break.

About a year ago I was invited to appear on a national radio show to talk about my occupation which is web promotion and offering stuttering treatment, and also strangely enough helping an organisation to do with becoming a foster carer. I was due to talk live on this radio program at around 2pm. All morning as was my way of course, I was thinking and worrying about how I would come across to other people. I was afraid that I would make a fool of myself and would sound like a bit of an idiot. I also, for whatever reason, started to stress about whether I would be able to remember, under the amount of pressure that I was likely be under, the important aspects of my occupation which people would be interested in.

I was getting myself into a bit of a state and even thought about phoning up to cancel the interview. I then called up a good friend of mine who has always provided me with sound advice. I explained about the radio show and about my fears. He stated that I needed to relax and to even look forward to the experience. It would, he continued, be a chance to promote my own services and therefore was something to be grateful for.

He advised me that what I needed to do was to keep myself busy. If I am very busy, I would not have any time to think in my usual negative way. He stated that he believed that I needed to find things that would occupy my mind. He thought that I was spending the majority of the time stressing about this and that. If however I had a much busier life then I would not have so much time to think in this manner.

This is something I had realised a few years before but had in truth not acted on. I thought about what my friend had said and then decided to get stuck into some much needed gardening. I am happy to let you know that the radio interview went fine.
