Is Your Drinking Starting to Become a Problem? and When You Need to Get Inspired and Motivated to Receive Alcohol Counseling
How do you identify the fact that you have a drinking problem? When is it obvious that you are involving yourself in alcohol abuse?
If you have ineffectively tried to quit drinking or if you sworn to yourself that your drinking days are behind you and then you were made aware that you were drinking in an abusive manner just a few days later, the odds are especially good that you have drinking problems. The point of emphasis is that if you have tried to stop drinking and cannot accomplish this, then your drinking is controlling you, instead of the other way around.
In a similar manner, if it takes larger amounts of alcohol to get the same “high,” more likely than not you need to become aware that you have a drinking problem.
You may be telling yourself that the rationale for your drinking is so that you can reduce your nervous tension or get rid of the sorrow or depression that you feel. Likewise, you may be trying to steer clear of a negative situation and may be looking for something more useful, more favorable, or less regretful.
As you continue to drink, conversely, you will realize that drinking does not result in the same high and you will also become aware that drinking doesn’t help do away with whatever was causing your distress in the first place. You may also notice that the more often you drink, the more depressed you feel.
As you continue to drink, unfortunately, you may become addicted to alcohol and, as a consequence, you may add another key problem to manage rather than becoming aware of more successful and beneficial ways of managing your alcohol produced predicament.
An Alcohol Assessment is Probably Required
If you have determined that you have a problem with your drinking, possibly the most beneficial thing you can do for yourself is to call your medical doctor or healthcare professional and arrange for an appointment for a complete physical and for an appraisal of your drinking activities.
If you honestly feel that you have a critical problem with your drinking, it might be a good idea to get prepared to hear that you need to get alcohol therapy.
At this point in time, what are your choices? You can indisputably refuse to see your health care professional and continue your pattern of irresponsible drinking.
It actually doesn’t take a wiz kid, on the other hand, to have a handle on the fact that continuous, out-of-control drinking, if left untreated, will go downhill over time and quite probably result an early death. For that reason, your most positive alternative is to face up to your drinking problem and get the alcohol therapy you need.
The Pretext of the Functioning Alcoholic
It is almost counter intuitive to note the fact that several alcohol addicted individuals lead busy and active lives and have vehicles, jobs, pets, houses, families, and any number of material possessions just like people who are not addicted to alcohol.
Many of these “functional” alcohol dependent people may have never been cited for a DWI and may have been lucky enough to avoid all alcohol generated legal difficulties. Despite this fortunate situation, however, these alcohol dependent individuals need to drink in order to function on a daily basis while upholding their facade as they interact with the outside world.
Ask anyone who has seen them when they are bingeing or in a drunken stupor or ask a family member about the problem drinker’s alcohol addiction, nevertheless, and they will be quick to maintain the validity of the drinker’s situation and the whole story about the alcohol dependent individual’s drinking condition and about his or her alcohol generated predicaments.
Why Do Alcohol Addicted People Fail to See Their Drinking Difficulties?
As alcohol addiction research and statistics on alcohol abuse have emphasized, no matter how clear the alcohol generated problems seem to those who interact with the alcohol addicted individual, alcohol dependent people regularly deny that drinking is the basis of their alcohol induced problems. Not only this, but alcohol addicted individuals often blame their alcohol-related problems on other people or upon other circumstances that surround them rather than seeing their part in the problem.
The source of the problem is that alcohol dependency is a disease of the brain. Once the problem drinker has become addicted to alcohol, he or she regularly resorts to denial, manipulation, and dishonesty as a way of coping with the fact that his or her drinking is out of control. And to make the situation more complex, the experience of alcohol withdrawal symptoms often thwarts the alcohol dependent individual’s rare attempts to suddenly stop drinking. As depressing as the alcohol addicted person’s existence is, to the contrary, the good news is that professional help is generally available – if the alcohol addicted individual reaches out and tries to get alcoholism therapy.
Conclusion
Owning up to the fact that drinking is triggering difficulties in your daily functioning is perchance the easiest way to find out if you have a problem with your drinking. More to the point, if your drinking is bringing about problems with your health, at work, in your relationships, with your finances, at school, or with the law, then you have a drinking problem that needs to be addressed.
If you have a problem with your drinking, furthermore, this means that you are involving yourself in excessive drinking.
While some problem drinkers may be able to pinpoint their “alcohol signs,” pinpoint their problems, and greatly decrease the quantity and rate of their drinking, others, then again, need to deal with their drinking difficulties by getting professional alcohol treatment. What’s more, due to their penchant to deny the facts and warp the truth, alcoholics unquestionably need quality alcoholism therapy for their abusive drinking.
And finally, if you feel more depressed the more you drink, it is likely that you will need to get motivated or inspired to receive treatment for your problem drinking and for your depression.
Complementary Health Therapy
Do you suffer with one of the many health problems out there? Are you getting fed up with the traditional forms of health treatment? Are you looking into the different forms of alternative health therapy that are available? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, this article may be of interest to you. In the article, I am going to write about some of these alternative therapy treatments which I, my family and friends have tried in the past. I hope you enjoy the read.
I would like to make one thing straight before I continue and that is that I do not work within the industry of alternative therapy. I am actually involved with cost reduction specialists and also fostering services UK.
For whatever reason my own wife is a person who often suffers with a deep depression – maybe it is because she is married to me. She also has had quite a few health related problems with the last five years. She is quite a stressful person and at times finds life to be fairly tough. A couple of years ago she decided to find a different approach to ones she had previously tried. The first option she tried was reflexology. She was not entirely sure if she really wanted a stranger messing about with her feet but was more than pleased with the experience on her return. She was rather surprised as to just how great the treatment had made her feel: “I feel like going to sleep know” she said.
I have also found myself struggling to cope with the pressures of every day life. I have now decided to give meditation a go. This is not I am sure for everyone but it has certainly helped me to think in a more positive and clearer way. It took me quite a long to meditate in what would be known as the correct way as I originally could not seem to concentrate or relax enough. It also helped me, in part, to overcoming a stuttering problem that had affected the whole of my childhood.
My mum is a person who would rather visit what is known as here in the UK as a “woman’s wellness centre” than go to her own GP. She has not spoken too much about this to me but it obviously helps her as she has now been going there for years.
Tai chi is a very popular form of alternative therapy for many people. I was actually thinking about taking up Tai Chi before I finally decided upon meditation. Tai chi has many benefits is without doubt something that I will try at a later date.
These are just a small number of the many alternative health treatments out there. It is worth pointing out that even though they have been successful in helping the above people, they may not work for everyone. In my opinion it is worth giving different things a try as it may just change your life.
Self-Motivation?
How do you get yourself motivated to stay productive and not waste your day? What keeps you from getting side tracked, and keeps you busy?
well i think it depends on you and what motivates you. There is no one answer. for instance for me this week. I promised myself i would work out 5 days this week (im not going to lie usually its 3 max). Well this morning i was really stiff and making excuses on why i shouldn’t go to pilates. I talk to myself in my head about how much of a "girl" im being and if i cant workout 5 days in a rrow im not as "hard’ as i think i am.
Now, that is me. I dont know what would do it for u. Think of the person u want to be, the person u see yourself as and make yourself live up to it.

It seems to me that there are so many people out there intent on delivering a wholey negative and intolerant spin on whatever they get involved with. Some people only seem to see the bad side of most things. How can we best encourage a departure from such behaviour?
We need a media that celebrates life and all of its wonders! we need a political system that gives people the breathing space to enjoy life without the pressure of having to sweat blood in order to survive. We need the reinstatement of the family unit as a sacred thing, we need to encourage a step away from fear and misunderstanding, a step away from intolerance and resentment and a step towards loving thought and understanding of others . Maybe then our society will have a natural smile on its face what?
A Distressed High School Student Manifests More Than a Few Alcohol-Related Issues, Gets Thrown Out of School, and Has to See the School Psychologist
Dante was a sixteen year old high school junior who was exhibiting more than a few alcohol-related problems at school. Consequently, the principal explained to him that he had to see Miss Johnson, the school therapist, before he would be permitted to come back to class.
Later that day when Dante went home after school, he had to go over his school suspension with his Mom and Dad. His parents were “relatively traditional” and told Dante that getting suspended from school was not a practical educational game plan. They told Dante that failing to graduate from high school would most probably be like a lead weight around his legs that could probably impair his educational attainment for the remainder of his life. In addition, Dante’s parents were very let down that he was drinking in the first place and drinking with his pals in the second.
His Mother and Father explained to Dante that even though he may be a teen, he needs to understand rather quickly that drinking is the pathway to ill health, failure, pain, and financial problems.
It was apparent that his Mom and Dad were on the same page as Dante’s principal and told Dante that he needs to see Miss Johnson, the school counselor. After his talk with his parents, Dante at long last agreed to see Miss Johnson the next school day. So Dante called the school and made an appointment to see Miss Johnson the next day during his third period class.
The Therapist Asks Dante if He Knows Why His Recent Alcohol-Related Behavior Signaled Such Alarm By the School Administrators
When Dante got to his scheduled appointment with Miss Johnson, she at once examined all of the alcohol-related issues Dante had experienced and asked him if he knew why his recent alcohol-related activities gave the school administrators room for alarm.
Quite honestly, Dante was unsure why the principal told him he had to see a school psychologist. As he stated to Miss Johnson, why should he see a professional psychologist about his drinking situation? Because virtually all of his pals drink about as much as he does, basically, drinking shouldn’t be such a big issue. Stated more forcefully, if nearly everybody is drinking, why is this such a major problem?
Miss Johnson asked Dante when he started to drink alcoholic beverages. He said that some of his older buddies introduced him to drinking beer when he was twelve or thirteen years old and in the seventh grade.
Miss Johnson told Dante that while his buddies may indeed drink more than he does and that they may be an unhealthy influence on him, the facts are that he is the one who is getting kicked out of school due to alcohol-related fighting, delinquency, and absenteeism, not his classmates. What is more, Miss Johnson also underlined the fact that Dante, and not his friends, is the one who is failing and who is missing almost two days of class per week due to his alcohol related issues. Finally, Miss Johnson highlighted the fact that due to his drinking activities, Dante is getting into a destructive cycle of excessive drinking that can in time ruin his hopes, dreams and aspirations.
In short, Dante’s involvement with youth alcohol abuse was beginning to foil his ability to behave like a responsible young man. As pronounced by Miss Johnson, “Just because most of your buddies drink beer, wine, wine coolers, or hard liquor does not mean that it is the healthiest thing for you.”
Dante Learns That In Due Course He Must Claim Responsibility For Himself In Order to Avert Unhealthy, Dangerous, Destructive, and Damaging Situations In the Future
Miss Johnson informed Dante that one’s peers can definitely influence a person in a negative way, but that the individual himself or herself has to sooner or later be responsible for himself or herself in order to keep away from dangerous, damaging, destructive, and unhealthy circumstances down the road.
Fortunately, Miss Johnson was well equipped for her scheduled time with Dante. She showed him reports and research studies she had highlighted that summarized different drinking statistics and facts that applied to most people in general. Then she showed Dante quite a lot of figures and reports that applied particularly to underage drinkers.
For example, Miss Johnson highlighted the difference between alcoholism and alcohol abuse and informed Dante that individuals who continue to drink in an abusive manner commonly become addicted to alcohol.
Miss Johnson also articulated the concept of binge drinking which she defined as follows: consuming five or more drinks in one sitting for males and drinking four or more drinks in one sitting for females.
The Psychologist Conveys Several Alcohol Dependency and Alcohol Abuse Facts and Statistics
Then Miss Johnson articulated various alcohol facts and the following eight alcohol abuse statistics:
1. Alcohol is a contributing factor in roughly fifty percent of America’s suicides, murders, and accidental deaths.
2. Alcohol-related accidents are the leading cause of fatalities among young people.
3. Each year in the U.S., approximately 5,000 youth under the age of 21 die because of underage drinking. This includes roughly 1,900 deaths from motor vehicle accidents.
4. Research has demonstrated that U.S. teens who drink alcohol are 50 times more likely to use cocaine than teenagers who never drink alcohol.
5. Roughly 1,700 college students in the U.S. lose their lives annually–approximately 4.65 a day–as a consequence of injuries that are alcohol related.
6. In 2005, 2.1 million American college students between the ages of 18 and 24 stated that they involve themselves in drinking while driving.
7. The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 76 million people throughout the world have disorders that are related to alcohol abuse or alcohol dependency.
8. According to recent alcohol abuse studies, it has been discovered that nearly 53% of the adults in the U.S. have reported that one or more of their close family members is an alcoholic or an alcohol abuser.
Dante Receives A Meaningful Wake Up Call Concerning the Long Term and the Short Term Results of Teenage Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
After Miss Johnson went over the aforementioned alcohol abuse and alcoholism facts and statistics, it was plain to see that what Miss Johnson made known to Dante was a real jolt to him. Why? Because for the first time in his young life, someone not only took the time to explain the short term and the long term consequences of alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency, but she also made the effort to validate what she was saying with alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse facts and statistics that related to everyone, and especially to teenagers.
To be sure, it was almost as if a light went on and Dante immediately comprehended why he should not be engaging in excessive and hazardous drinking with or without his pals any longer. Dante thanked Miss Johnson for her concern and for the material she reviewed.
Miss Johnson then asked Dante how he felt about getting a physical exam and an alcohol appraisal for the alcohol abuse or alcohol addiction treatment he would probably need.
Dante thought about this for few minutes and then agreed to get a complete physical and to go through a complete appraisal of his drinking situation so that he could start an alcohol rehabilitation program right away.
Depression Caused By Stuttering
Do you suffer from depression? Have you lost the will to live? Are you seeking a solution to your problems with depression? These are three questions that I would have certainly answered yes to a couple of years ago. I have however managed to turn my life around; the depression has been eradicated once and for all; I am free at last to live my life in the way that I have always wanted to.
I am not in any involved with the “depression industry” if there is such a thing; this article is purely explaining my experiences of depression. I am actually involved on a daily basis with helping people to stop stuttering and I also help people to learn to play the guitar. I have a third role which is a very minor one which is working with a group cost reduction consultants.
The cause of my personal depression
I have to say that the main cause of my depression was due to the fact that I had a stutter. This speech impediment basically ruined my life for eighteen years and was something that would often leave me feeling quite sorry for myself.
I feared for my overall future. How would I be able to get on in the world with this frustrating stutter? I was fully aware of just how it would negatively impact on my prospects for employment, relationships with friends and members of the opposite sex and overall confidence/happiness.
The solution
I was very fortunate to meet a very educated man called Jason when I was aged twenty-two. He persuaded me to fight back against all of my demons and gave me the belief that I would be able to overcome the stutter, as well as eradicating the depression.
You need to believe in yourself, you need to understand that there is a lot of people in a worse position than you and you need to be thankful of what you do have rather than solely concentrating on what you do not have, explained Jason.
You should be willing to work extremely hard to improve your life and to beat this depression.
The result
I am pleased to report that after working extremely hard I was able to find a cure for stuttering and was also able to find happiness, the depression and stutter have both been eradicated for once and for all.
Procrastination, Self-discipline, Self Motivation? TEN EASY POINTS!?
PLEASE, PLEASE give me lots/some details and advice on how to stop procrastinating, how too have self discipline and self-motivation. I’d REALLY appreciate it!! I’m SOOOOO DESPERATE!!!
8 Steps to defeat procrastination:
1.Pick one area in which you find procrastination most annoying (homework, studying for tests)
2.Begin small and progress as you experience success. Be patient. Establish your own deadlines. Be realistic in setting a timetable.
3.Break the project into smaller parts. Chip away at it in small bites. Don’t wait for that “big chunk” of time.
4.Set a definite beginning time. Yuu must break the inertia of inactivity. If getting started is especially troublesome, set a time for 10 or 15 minutes. Commit yourself to doing something on the project until the timer rings. Then you can decide whether to stop or continue. Chances are you will gain momentum and continue after the timer stops. If not, try another 10 minutes later in the day.
5.Do the most important things first. Avoid the distractions of the trivial and routine tasks when a higher priority job is waiting in the wings. Examining each task in light of your goals will help you set priorities.
6.Reward yourself for completing parts of a major task. It may be something as a 10-minute walk, a Coke, or a call. Contract with yourself for a big reward for completion of important tasks. A pizza, sleeping extra late on a weekend, or shopping for something may help motivate you to complete the job. Be nice to yourself.
7.Avoid perfectionism. Excellence is a sufficient level of performance for most things in life, and for many tasks (a new hobby, cleaning your room) adequacy is all that is necessary. Give yourself permission to be less than perfect. A good garden may have some weeds. You might double the amount of time spent typing a paper, attempting to get the spelling perfect. Could that extra time be better spent in another activity which will better help your grades? Probably so.
8.Procrastination is a learned habit, and can supplanted with a more constructive habit, giving your greater control over your life. If procrastination has limited your achievements, do something about it now!

How do you have quantitative thinking?
Positive thinking is amimed at happiness, optimal is aimed at rationalism.
Benefiting From the Principles of Cosmic Ordering
More and more people are looking for ways to enjoy their lives and fulfill their desires these days. They are trying to accomplish their goals and also satisfy their materialistic and other aspirations. In today’s world there are more and more ways of getting the kind of life you want but nothing is as good as cosmic ordering.
Just what is cosmic ordering anyway? Cosmic ordering is asking the universe itself for what you want. This is a spiritual practice, but you don’t need to do years of good works and spiritual exercises to learn how. Anyone can use spiritual ordering.
Cosmic ordering aids in manifesting your goals and dreams the spiritual way. You only need to order or ask the universe for what ever you want. You can ask for anything from changing your life completely or circumstances to fulfill your ambitions.
Noted spiritual gurus like Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Deepak Chopra reveal that you need to enter a particular energy field known as the “field of intent” to manifest your desires. This is nothing but a kind of a frequency where we form a spiritual connection with the universe and that’s when our desires are physically manifested by the cosmos.
There is a high probability that you have done cosmic ordering before without realizing what it really was. If you jog your memory, then there must have been a time when you really wanted something badly and you got it. Most people term it as a coincidence and don’t realize the true power they have. It’s never a coincidence, it was just cosmic ordering.
When you use cosmic ordering, it has much to do with the power of intention, a combination of your beliefs and desires. Simply put, the belief that you deserve what you are asking for and the belief that you can create the desired situation. In order for cosmic ordering to work, you must truly want what you are asking for, but you must also believe that you are worthy of receiving it.
When saying ‘I need a new job,’ or ‘I want a sport car’ but believing deep in your heart that you shouldn’t have these requests because you did nothing to earn them, then your cosmic order will be left unfilled. If you really want a better life, you must truly believe that a better life is what you truly deserve.
Practicing cosmic ordering is not hard at all. It is possible the easiest process that you can do to bring change to your life. Is there a down side to cosmic ordering? As with everything in life, there will always be pros and cons, depending on its use. If you think about and believe negative things then these negative thoughts will begin to manifest.
If you go through your workday believing and thinking that you are bound to be fired, then you will are going to be given your walking papers. Always focus on positive things. Spend your time thinking about the good things you want in your life.
There are many people who have lived much of their lives not having much and as a consequence, come to believe that they deserve no better than what they have. The subconscious is a powerful thing and it can hold you back from your goals is you let it. It can even prevent you from making positive change which will improve your life!
Many a times your deep rooted subconscious beliefs can become your biggest stumbling block in the manifestation of your desires. Successful cosmic ordering can only happen when your subconscious mind can truly be conditioned to understand and accept the fact that you are worthy and prepared to receive all that you have ever wanted.
People have successfully changed their lives by practicing cosmic ordering. Do you believe that you should be able to live the life that you truly want? Now is your chance to use cosmic ordering to live a truly fulfilled life and realize your dreams.
Since the time this secret has been revealed, millions of people have actually used cosmic ordering to make their lives fun and have everything that they ever wanted. Now it’s your turn to get what you want through cosmic ordering.
A Television Program About Alcohol Addiction Signs and Symptoms Results in Some Stressful and Depressing Feelings About a Young Lady’s Hazardous and Abusive Drinking and Then A Sense of Expectation
Daniel had been engaging in abusive drinking behavior since her junior year in college. Now, ten years later, she drank more than ever. One Sunday night when she wasn’t feeling all that well, Daniel made up her mind to stay home, loosen up, and watch TV.
While searching for a special program to watch that would capture her interest, she instantaneously got involved in a special program about adolescent and young adult drinking troubles.
When Familiar Alcohol Addiction Signs and Symptoms are Exhibited by Alcohol Dependent People
The commenter talked about the difference between alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse and then got into the subject of alcohol addiction symptoms and alcoholism warning signs. When the narrator went into detail about a person’s alcoholic behavior and some of the more widespread alcoholism symptoms and signs that alcohol addicted people exhibit, Daniel got quite alarmed because it basically seemed as if the spokesperson was talking directly to her.
After watching the television special, Daniel promised herself that she would call her health care provider the following morning and make an appointment to discuss her drinking situation.
When the next business day arrived, true to her word, Daniel called her doctor and made an appointment. In the meantime, she went on the web and did a search for alcoholic symptoms. Especially noteworthy were the following signs or symptoms: making excuses to drink at almost every chance, sneaking extra drinks before social activities, increasing irritability, substantial relationship and employment problems, and sleep issues.
Simply put, due to the fact that Daniel manifested all of these signs she went into greater detail in her online search and found more than a few blogs and websites that featured diverse alcohol addiction symptoms and warning signs.
One of the symptoms that really grabbed her attention was the following: “Do you regularly drink after telling yourself that you won’t?” While Daniel never concluded that she may have a critical drinking difficulty, after reading about the different alcoholism warning signs and symptoms, she couldn’t reject the fact that for the past five or six months, she frequently tried but was unsuccessful at appreciably diminishing her drinking or stopping entirely.
When Coworkers and Friends Pester You by Criticizing Your Abusive Drinking Behavior
Another alcohol dependency sign that caught her attention was the following: “Have family members irritated by frowning on your drinking behavior?” When Daniel read this she without delay recalled a recent squabble she had with her best friend about her abusive drinking behavior. Furthermore, Daniel visibly thought about a recent squabble she had with her parents about her excessive drinking. Since Daniel honestly thought that she didn’t have a drinking issue, when people brought up her drinking behavior she logically got upset and irritated.
A third alcohol dependency warning sign was the following: “Do you crave a drink when you first awaken in the morning?” Until now, Daniel had been deceitful with herself about her drinking situation. After reading about the aforementioned alcoholism warning signs, however, she knew if she was really being straightforward with herself that she was facing a serious drinking issue, especially given the fact that she now believed that she needed a drink the first thing in the morning to diminish her nervousness.
If this wasn’t enough, the next alcohol dependency symptom really got her thinking about her problem drinking: “Do you drink to steer clear of anxiety or problems?” When she thought about her life for a few minutes, she realized that virtually in every rough situation in the past six or seven months, she told herself that she needed a drink to help cope with things.
The final alcoholism symptom that made her feel fairly apprehensive about her drinking difficulty was the following: “Has your enthusiasm for life diminished since you started drinking more habitually?” When Daniel read this sign she plainly comprehended that drinking had become a serious problem in her life because of her diminished energy level and also because she stopped pursuing her dreams and her goals.
Conclusion: When Getting Down in the Dumps Turns Into Something Wonderful and A Sense of Hope
After thinking about all of these destructive alcohol dependency signs and symptoms, Daniel at first felt crestfallen. Then something magnificent came about. She realized that she was going to see her health care professional about her drinking and she also knew that she would talk about all of the above alcohol addiction warning signs and symptoms with her. Indeed, for the first time in numerous months, Daniel truthfully felt a sense of hope because she was dealing with her drinking issues and was after all has been said and done ready to make the necessary adjustments so that she could reclaim the life that was sliding away.
