will my self-motivation rise after I complete basic training?
right now I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do much at all. basically what do the drill instructers emphasize towards their recruits at basic? what will i learn mentally after i come out? is there a confidence course…
Basic Training is a complete shock to your system.
Drill SGT’s will be straight up your *** 24/7. They will provide the Motivation needed to complete the task. i.e. Yelling/screaming at you if you do not complete the task to standard.
If you are on top of your game, you will not be yelled at. There you go, self motivation.
Learn your task and complete it, motivate your self.
you will " get it" and you will be fine.
Good Luck and God bless you
POSITIVE THINKING versus REALITY and LAWS?

Please let me know whether you think positive thinking can change ANY situation in life. Or whether positive thinking is only part of the answer but that certain laws of physics and life cannot be changed. See below:
My thinking; Although positive thinking has its place, it does not take into account the very real fact that the world has both GOOD and EVIL. Thus, for example, if a murderer is chasing a victim, and the victim only has positive thinking and stands waiting to be killed, the murderer probably will still kill the person. All the positive thinking in the world, to me, doesn’t seem to deal with the REALITY of GOOD and EVIL.
Further, I find that often, one persons perspective on life may be drastically different from another based on ethnicity, socio-economics, religion/spirituality etc.
So while person A may find that police brutality is not a serious concern (because their neighborhood or ethnic group do not have it as a problem) person B may find the opposite (where community residents in that part of town are routinely abused by rogue officers). Now both Person A and Person B could benefit from positive thinking. Thus Person B could use positive thinking to find ways to negotiate better community relations, fight court cases, etc.
Further, LIFE and DEATH are givens. So a person dying of lung cancer, may surely benefit from Positive thinking. There are many cases of the mind over matter occurring. But there are also instances where no amount of positive thinking changes the ultimate fate of a dying person. That person think positively and die a more happy life, but they’d still be dead.
Based on the above, how do you explain my perspective versus yours. I find that far too many artists don’t support certain positive endeavors. But you seem to suggest that if I think positively more artists would. a) I am a positive thinker already.
In closing, if you are correct regarding positive thinking, then there would have to be multiple parallel universes that we are all connected to. Hundreds of thousands of universes for the variables that affect each outcome. Example: Universe 1 for Person A who is producing a show. Universe 2: For that person thinking positively; Universe 3 for a variant of that person thinking negatively. then Universe 4 for SINGER A who is negative about the show. Universe 5 for the same singer who is positive about the show. But then there’s singer B who is also positive about the show. See how the scenarios go on and on. It seems impossible for all these variables to mesh without a more clear cut approach to it.
And to me that clear cut approach is that the parallel universe theory is untrue. And that there is Planet earth. And we humans have GOOD and EVIL inside us. Positive thinking surely impacts our lives. But there is also the real face of death, reality, etc. We can change our reality to an extent, but there are certain laws of physics, holistics, etc that are SET IN STONE.
positive thinking works in situations where the subconscious has some oppurtunity to overcome the problem. for example if someone is sitting an exam, thinking positively sends signals to the subconscious. the subconscious will then begin to actively work to recall details etc- therefore the person does better in the exam
However.
positive thinking has no effect in situations where the outcome relies on chance, or in the views of some- Fate.
for example a person buys a lottery ticket. thinking positively is NOT going to increase their chance of winning because there is nothing the subconscious can do to alter the outcome.
Develop Abundance To Make You Successful
Developing abundance is something that only you, as an individual, and you alone can do. It is something that leads down the road to achieving not only physical benefits, but mental and spiritual satisfaction too. It’s all in the mind as they say. But in order for anyone to achieve this feeling of abundance, they must first recognize their own honest needs, wants and ambitions, in order that they may pull opportunity, like minded people, and potentially beneficial circumstances, into their sphere of existence. Developing abundance takes hard work and determination, but the rewards are awesome.
How do people know when their lives lack abundance? The most common ‘give away’ is that they are deeply unhappy with some phase or other of their situation. It is often the case that people think of material possessions when they consider abundance. But the truth of the matter is that the people that have accumulated a great deal of personal wealth, but who still remain unhappy, do not experience an abundant life. It is often a sad fact of life that there are many wealthy individuals who despite their wealth have few friends, or do not even trust those that they have, and end up living under fulfilled existences.
So the way to begin toward a great life and to develop abundance is to look at your beliefs, thoughts, and emotions. If you can change the way you think (and talk) about whatever is going on in your life, and reprogram yourself with positive, more logical emotions, you can change your life.
Everyone lives in this abundant universe yet not all of them experience abundance in the same ways. Opening yourself up to the receiving channels of the developing abundance process is essential. Unresolved issues block positive vibrations. By focusing on the negative aspects and emotions of guilt, shame, anxiety and anger will blind you to those good things available to you. It can prevent you from experiencing positive occurrences.
So if you are sincere about wanting an abundant life, you must also set out to face and conquer any demons that may be haunting you. Sadly, many victims around the globe continue to be tormented. They are still haunted by traumatic events and the feelings they elicited, and along the way they developed negative beliefs that put them in a recurrent cycle of pain. It is critical that anyone who wants to live with abundance learns to release that pain, put the past to rest, forgive, and move forward.
Developing abundance is in fact developing one’s self. We need to analyze the way that we think, the way that we react to events as they unfold. We need to spot the patterns that our past behavior has fallen into, and we need to be ready to change those patterns, to heal past hurts and open the door to abundance.
It’s not easy to change the way you think and feel, however, there are many ways to help people overcome their pain from the past and heal their hurts. Whether you select energy therapies, like applied kinesiology or EFT, or cognitive behavior therapies, there is a program that can help you change. But you need to be willing to do the internal work to make the changes, and you need to persist so you can begin to achieve abundance in your life.
But changing the inner person is in itself not enough. We have to see and shape the things that are going on around us. We need to be positive and develop a plan for progressing with our move from where we are now into a position of abundance.
A blending of introspection, which leads to personal change and action, are requirements of developing abundance. Many individuals may be goal focused, however they do not have an abundant life. The reason for this is that they are not living in harmony with their inner values and beliefs. Perhaps, harmony is not creatable because of their values and beliefs. A holistic approach to life is essential to obtaining true abundance.
It is never selfish to live an abundant life developing abundance is worthwhile. It enables an individual to be generous with others. It frees them from their focus of self, which is necessary for survival. Developing abundance is a process that can take time; however, you will find it to be satisfying as well as transforming for you and your community.

Uncovering Your Life’s Purpose Through The Solutions Your Create
How do you really uncover the secrets to finding your life’s purpose? Where can you begin your search to uncover the clues for unlocking your life’s assignment so you can experienve more meaning, happiness, and fulfillment? How do you live out your purpose effectively?
These are all important life question, and I realize that this is probably going to sound simply and you may have heard it many times before, but…
“Purpose Is ‘Why’ You Were Born – and you can often find it with the simple act of looking at the problems you were born to solve”
Okay, let’s use the example of the electric fan to better explore the concepts of problem hunting for your life’s purpose.
A man named Dr. Schuyler Wheeler created the two blade electric desktop fan — and long after he has died, you and I still enjoy the fruits of his ambition and are able to use a fan to help us solve one specific problem in our lives…that is cooling our homes, & ourselves.
Wheeler did not begin by randomly throwing a few spare parts together to see what he could come up with. Instead, he created a blueprint that gave him a vision of the completed product, before he began.
To sum it up, he was searching for a solution to a specific problem
What this means then is that the purpose of anything that is created in found in the creator’s mind, and is his particular solution to a specific problem that he wants to solve for himself and others.
What this means then is that the purpose of
something is…”Revealed In The Problems It Is Created To Solve”
Open your eyes and take a 360 degree view.
Isn’t it amazing that everything varoaund you have a specific function? Everything is created to do something; created to solve a specific problem.
Our cooling problems are solved by air-conditioners and fans
Stoves and furnaces provide solutions to our heating problems
Car, airplanes, boats, railways cars, all solve transportation problems
The purpose of a lawyer is found in the legal problems that he/she solves
Doctors are trained to solve medical problems
• Educators solve ignorance problems
Everyone and everything created solves a specific problem, and within those solutions your life offers that they/it offers, purpose is unleashed. This works so good
that we will do almost anything to find these problem solver and pay them outrageous sums of money to have them help us solve our
problems…the ones they are good at.
The key to the purpose equation lies in the fact that life’s assignment can be found in the problems you solve for others…
You are created as a solution to a specific problem within the earth, and once you tap into this by refining and developing that solution that your life offers, your purpose literally becomes a powerful tool that will help countless people soves their problems; this will bring more meaning, significance and fulfillment into your life.
Consider these simple questions!
There are problems that you are good at solving for other – what are they?
Are there problems that you enjoy solving for others?
Think about the type of problems people ask you for help with?
When you look at these questions, you realize that they are clear indication of your life’s purpose. This simple truth may escape you so often that you don’t even take into consideration that things you do for others that release a sense of meaning, satisfaction, and happiness into your own life; you might even offer to help others all day if necessary and would even
skip the financial rewards if you didn’t need the money.
Do you really want to know the secret to all of this?
Take some time out and really look at your life and the problems you solve for others, you will find your purpose conveniently hidden in
those solutions your life offers.
The 5 Secrets of Self-Motivation
I’m a generally motivated person myself, but there are days when I feel less inclined to pursue my goals. What I’ve noticed is that when that one less-motivated-day begins, it tends to drag on a couple of days, sometimes weeks, affecting my personal growth. Here are 5 easy ways to motivate yourself and get back on your personal growth track!
1. Identify your motivators
Is it that swanky new house? That promotion or pay rise you are dying for? Sit down and make a list of everything you want to achieve and don't be afraid to dream big. If you’re unable to come up with that list, don’t worry. Try this out. Sit down, close your eyes, and fully relax your body. Visualize what would make you really happy. It does not have to be material or physical. It could be a smile on your parents’ face or spending more time with your partner. Imagine it, feel it, and write it down.
2. Keep it in sight
The problem with lists is that we often forget them.. and we're just a little too lazy to read through a list every day. So what you can do with that list is to make it easier for you to visualize your motivators. Want to save up for a vacation in Cancun? Get on Google and search for the most beautiful photo of the place you can find and tack it up on a wall or surface you see everyday. Do the same for everything on that list. Whether it’s in the form of a number, a few quick words, or a photo — put it somewhere you can see, and see often. You will find that it's more stimulating than staring at a list of words everyday.
3. Celebrate your achievements
Remember to celebrate each time you achieve a goal. It doesn’t matter if it was a small one, or a big one. Celebrating your achievements regardless of their size and impact leaves you with feel-good, positive feelings that positively reinforce yourself, making it easier for you to continue motivating yourself each time!
4. Mix with the right people
Your mom was right, she just wasn’t specific enough. Choose your friends wisely. Our time is precious. Be selective and spend it with like-minded individuals. If you’re looking for more motivation, hang out with motivated people. It’s infectious and soon, you will find yourself thinking like them too. What's more preferable is if you select friends who are not only internally motivated but extremely positive and happy individuals. Take them out for lunch, have a chat, party with them, invite them over for drinks — you are who you hang out with.
5. Share the love
Lastly, motivate others. You’ll find that sharing motivation is extremely helpful as it can provide you with the inspiration to stay motivated. That, and verbalizing motivation actually works both ways and you'll find that you're re-motivating yourself.
Flex those self-motivation muscles and put these tips to practice. You’ll find that once you get yourself surrounded with motivating factors, it’s more difficult to be derailed and your journey of personal growth becomes smoother!
Any one got good ideas for a little self-motivation? I feel like crapppp!!?
My job is going slow. I need some self-motivation cuz I’m home all the time. I feel useless. Any one got any ideas?
Pick up a new hobby, go to the gym, take a trip to the beach. There are plenty of things you can do to keep you busy so you don’t just sit at home and feel useless. But, if you ever have those days where you just start feeling useless and you start getting down on yourself, just stop. Stop thinking about how bad things are and start thinking about how it’s just 1 slow day, it’s no big deal! Tomorrow is a new day! Tomorrow will be better! But, if you feel you are having too many slow days, and you feel like it’s hard to perk up then go do something. If your job is making you feel this bad then look for a new one, that seems like more fun to you! Just remember, there will always be some sluggish days, but it’s not the end of the world!
Hope I helped!
